One thing I have learnt in 60 years.Children are
much smarter than adults. As a childrens entertainer,a soldier,a traveller
A volunteer to overseas charities,that one fact
stood out above all else.Children ARE much smarter
than adults. They act in the main without premeditated thought.
With simplistic response in speech and action.No
Red herrings,straight for the jugular.We,on the
other hand as "responsible" adults, close our eyes
and ears and follow like sheep down a well trodden
path. That realization lead to the emergence of a group
of people who saw the possibilities of children
being peace makers the world over. That group was registered and opened to the world. The initial task was the setting up of Liason
officers from Villages,towns,cities,areas and
regions.This was not as difficult as first thought.
Using net-working achieved results in days.Links
and members came from across the globe.That
membership increases by the day. There are problems for those in areas of the
world who have limited or no modern technology.
Even so some walk for miles every week to bring
their weekly updates to a public means of sending
them.
Languages and dialects are also overcome as members
reach to members for support.The unity has provided
not only strength of purpose but also unified
resources.
Against this background the reaching out to children
began. Liason officers relate to their local schools,
areas,etc. They ask them to create peace in the
minds of the children.They arrange links between
other villages and schools across borders and the
world.It is this web which creates truth and brings
them hope for their futures. Planned events take place.The current one is a peace
poster.The children are drawing and colouring their
own peace thoughts which they have captured on paper.
Those pictures come back to the command hub from
where they are published in relevant internet
sites, groups and domains.
In December of this year those posters will be sent
out in video and slide format for the world to see. Throughout KENYA,UGANDA,TAZMANIA,CANADA,BRITAIN,
PALESTINE,INDIA, SWEDEN ,NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA,
CHINA there are children at work. Acting,reacting
and interacting for peace through play and activity. From this basic concept the seeds of peace are being
built by the children for the children. Children in unity. Many things have happened as a result. A
benefactor arranged for a container of goods to
be sent to a vast slum area.
Hundreds of lonely,orphaned or abandoned children
will gain as a result.Gifts of digital cameras
and laptops have been furnished to individuals by
contacts on a personal level.Funds that
are raised keep children fed in areas of greatest
need.So much has been done but so much more has
yet to be done. The children themselves are showing the adults
how peace can be won. The children are showing
that old traditional hates can be negated. The
children are gaining unity through their own
actions. For them and for us all... Imagine peace "pleach"
