Wasted funds
Why does the world insist on giving millions of pounds to
countries that badly need it knowing,
that receiving governments will not use it wisely? Why is there no follow up linked administration from the donor country? Why do the peoples of the receiving country not benifit as they should.. Greed pure and simple..political buzzards that feed from the coiffers of the poor and needy. Money is syphoned off at every stage of government untill the watered down pittance that is left is to small to worry about. Time for a new approach me-thinks... Funds should be given to selected groups representing specific aid.. Directly to schools for funding books,technical and science equiptments etc.. To groups of farmers who work certain land areas to allow home produce to increase.. To village groups to enable them to work together on providing local amenities.. To shanty town dwellers who would rebuild given the opportunity to do so.. The list is endless..and all want one thing..not false promises but the tools to start to raise themselves up from
the decay that lies around them.. I believe that funds should be declared as available and then people or organisations who have need should be able to apply direct for that need. Each case should be looked at for its over-all usefulness
to the peoples, and improvements to their current situation. Independant awards should then be made to that group with a clear aim and target to be reached..with a proviso that more funds will be allocated based on initial progress. Outside monitors should carry out regular checks on progress and follow through the scheme in mind untill they are satisfied that the aim is being achieved.. This kind of approach puts the money in the hands of those that need it..it cuts out the red tape of government and all the waste that goes with it,. Far to much aid money is handed over without strict spend guidelines..and for my money I would even go so far as to say WOMAN should hold the purse strings as they are far better at finance budgeting.
